Dr. G on Leadership Consulting LLC

Geneva founded Dr. G on Leadership Consulting LLC in 2025 as a consulting services business focusing on business communications, business management, information technology management, business communication and technology training, proofreading and editing, and nonprofit management. Geneva’s educational background includes a Doctor of Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Project Management. She also has a career and technical educator endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education.

Geneva participated in the Summer of 2024 in an academic fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago in the Biomedical Engineering Experience for Science Teachers (BEST) fellowship. Also, in 2023, she was a Peer Reviewer of a new business communication textbook published in October 2024. Innovative Business Communication Strategies for a Globalized World as an associate faculty at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Lastly, Geneva’s doctoral dissertation: Leadership Strategies for Improving Employee Engagement in the Information Technology Industry (2019). 

As a seasoned professional with a diverse background and career in several industries, including corporate, information technology, higher education, law, nonprofit, and k-12 education, Geneva has worked for many large corporations such as IBM, Computer Sciences Corporation, TCS Education System, Chicago-Kent College of Law, and Reed Smith LLC. Also, Geneva works part-time as an associate faculty for the University of Arizona Global Campus, teaching at the Forbes School of Business and Technology. Geneva has worked as a part-time adjunct in the Department of Organizational Leadership at Lewis University.

Geneva honorably served in the Illinois Army National Guard for approximately 10 years in a helicopter unit located at Midway Airport. Geneva was a unit supply specialist and conducted safety inspections of helicopters.

Lastly, Geneva founded a 501c3 nonprofit in 2010, The Freddie Mae Leverston Leadership Foundation, where she mentors and awards scholarships to culinary arts students. She is also a seasoned photographer, and her photography is displayed at gallery exhibits across Illinois and Wisconsin. She is a juried artist with the Chicago Society of Artists and Tall Grass Arts Association.

Geneva is passionate about making a difference in business, higher education, k-12 education, and the arts. Geneva Reed brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and passion to her endeavors.
